One Week: A Students Guide To Working In The Creative Industry

One week to go until our next 'Infront Presents' event (a name change from 'Insight' - more on that later) which is 'A Students Guide To Working In The Creative Industry'.

I sat down with Pip from The Loop, Jon from Tractor Design School/ Mentally Friendly and Chris from Interbrand yesterday to discuss ideas. Talk about opinionated! Just kidding, although you are in for some strong and well informed views from these guys on what to expect, how to get your foot in the door and more so I suggest you head down to the Apple Store in Sydney on Wednesday the 8th of February from 6.30pm.

Insight #10: A Students Guide To Working In The Creative Industry

We're back for another year of Insight at the Apple Store in Sydney! For the first of the year we are doing things a little different with a panel discussion on 'A Students Guide To The Creative Industry'.

Moderated by Damien Aistrope (that's me), join Pip Jamieson, co-founder of The Loop, Christopher Doyle, graphic designer from Interbrand; and Jon Christensen, founder of Tractor Design School as they’ll provide insight and inspiration and answer your questions about how you can get ahead.

There will be a wealth of great knowledge shared even if you aren't a student so this will be a great opportunity to come down and find out some answers in person. For those who can't attend, why not ask some questions to our panel in the comments of this post.

It's taking place on Wednesday the 8th of February at the Apple Store in Sydney from 6.30pm. As always, we love it if you can register your interest on the Facebook page here.

One More Week: Insight #09 With Toby & Pete

Just under a week until Toby & Pete will be speaking at the Apple store in Sydney as part of our Insight series. Taking place next Wednesday from 6.30pm, this will be our last one for the year (picking up again next February) so come along for free, fun and informative times. Afterwards we will head to Grasshopper for a bit of an end of year drinks/bash so if you haven't made it along to one yet come and be merry with fellow AIF crew in the cosy surrounds of Grasshopper. What's this? A new project from the art curator super powers of Marty Routledge and Joseph Allen Shea? Yep - it's SELF EST,  a four day art event taking place this November 17th through to the 20th featuring the likes of Jeff Canham (one of my personal favs, I kid you not), Horfe, Dmote and Ben Barretto across 3 gallery spaces and a discussion panel. Pretty mega, take a look at the site to get more details.
