Art, Events

Located beneath the streets, amongst the whisky apples and 1950s paraphernalia, beyond the denim covered bar stools and behind one of the famously bombed cold rooms within Greaser, you will find Fortitude Valley’s latest addition to underground culture, Analogue Gallery.

Co-curated by Matthew Haynes (The Design Conference) and Grace Dewar (First Coat Art Festival), Analogue Gallery is the opening of a low-brow, rent and commission-free art space. Analogue Gallery presents a long-overdue opportunity to showcase local and national talent, providing monthly exhibitions, as well as external special event activations.

The gallery occupies a 153 year old cellar with exposed brick and low ceilings providing an industrial aesthetic and allows groups to spill back into Greaser.

Analogue Gallery slides open it’s cold room doors from 7 pm on September 1, 2016. Launching with ’New Wave'; a high impact group exhibition celebrating emerging artists living in South East Queensland.

New Wave is a group exhibition celebrating emerging artists living in South-East Queensland. Featured artists have an ongoing dedication to their creative practice, passionately pursuing a livelihood in the creative industry.
