As a digital designer you will work within a very tightly knit team and be responsible for planning and designing amazing user-experience for websites, mobile apps, digital campaigns and ecommerce. We are a team of around 30 in Melbourne and our office is open plan, which encourages a lot of interaction among collegues (and of course kinship). You will be sitting alongside, producers, strategists, marketers and developer in the same space, engaging and pushing one another towards the common goal of creating premium quality work.
Our clients are very diverse and our work is mostly projects based. From a designers perspective this means you will be constantly given new and exciting challenges. To give you an example, one project might be an interactive microsite to promote a new Nintendo game, another might be a responsive website for a large not-for-profit like Headspace who deal with youth mental illness, and another might be a full ecommerce re-design for a major national retailer, like Aussie Disposals.
We have a very positive and relaxed work culture. We like our studio space to be in calm zen-like state. Our Docklands office overlooks the water. The average age is about 29 and we are friendly. We do not tolerate internal politics. We want people to be authentic and themselves. Work/life balance is valued highly and we seldom if ever ask people to stay back (and pay OT when it is required). We have fun, social activities, bi-annual dinners and annual snow-trips. Most importantly we are united in our passion to create great work. Many of us have been with Bliss for over 4 years.
If you like the sound of this and feel that Bliss Media is your next home. We are looking for a talented mid-weight digital designer in a full-time position. You will have at least 2 years of experience in a digital agency and have developed a solid portfolio of digital work, with a focus on responsive website design.
You must demonstrate:
- At least 2 years experience in a digital agency (or similar web production company)
- A strong portfolio of digital design work, with a focus on website design and mobile
- Ability to propose and communicate new creative ideas
- A strong understanding of designing for web technologies, eg. responsive design, ecommerce, wireframing, web UI and UX
- A strong understanding of site planning, information architecture and user experience
- Effective time management skills to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Be highly motivated to produce world class quality work
Sounds like a perfect fit for your next career move? We would love to hear you!
