Fairfax Media, one of Australia's leading and most respected media organisations, is seeking to appoint a Graphic Designer to work in the Financial Review Group's Marketing department.
This is an exciting position and will have you in the centre of a dynamic media marketing team, working in a fast paced deadline driven environment. The role will involved varied projects for a range of publications and websites including The Australian Financial Review, BRW, AFR Smart Investor, afr.com and brw.com.au. This is a great opportunity for a designer who wants to work in media and broaden their skills.
Reporting to the Senior designer the successful applicant will be responsible for producing a wide range of print material, these include trade and consumer advertisements, direct mail, POS and other promotional material as well as animated online banner ads and EDMs, These projects require a solid understanding of production processes software and a good understanding of branding.
To apply for this role you must
• have a minimum of 2 years work experience, be a self-motivated tech savvy graphic designer with great ideas and experience in designing for online and print.
• solid knowledge and experience in Flash (action scripting), Dreamweaver (HTML), CS4 Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, and Acrobat on a MAC platform
• an excellent communicator with strong people skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
• excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure on several projects at once with confidence in prioritising.
• relevant Tertiary qualifications
