Wilcom has been developing software and web solutions for the textile and fashion industry for 30 years. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced web designer of high calibre with experience in design, HTML and CSS to join our innovative team.
You’ll need to have excellent design and technical skills to help us deliver cutting edge software and interactive solutions to a global market. Your portfolio will demonstrate the ability to create great design – combining aesthetics with site usability.
You’ll be able to design sites that engage the end user as well as meet the commercial requirements. You will be integral in posing new ideas and contributing to decision making working closely with the Marketing Manager, Business managers and Web Developers.
To be successful in this role you will need to possess and demonstrate:
• An outstanding online portfolio
• Excellent CSS, HTML, JavaScript skills
• Sound understanding of User Experience Design
• Strong Photoshop & Illustrator skills
• Commercial experience dealing with large scale websites
• Sound working knowledge of eCommerce
• Good knowledge of cross-browser compatibility
• Ability to build sites optimized for Search Engines
• Strong skills in typography, layout, design
Responsibilities will include:
• design user interfaces based on established usability guidelines
• work with development team on new web projects
• create and edit graphic content following brand guidelines
• prepare HTML emails for marketing promotions
• maintain web sites content
• build sites that are optimised for search engines
