As you said, there's plenty of threads on this subject, do a search.
The simple answer is: Yes.
But do a search.

Thanks Dave, I did try searching - obviously my use of plus' and inverted commas was sub par.
I'll abort mission for too good to be true software and bite the bullet.

Why? Plenty of people buy US software and have no issues. By Australian law, so long as you purchased a legal version of their software, Adobe cannot discriminate in providing support to you.

That keeps the hope alive. Thanks Dave.

I find the most annoying part about using US software is that every time you start a new print document the units and page sizes are in American.
I've not figured out how to make the default any other way.

Maybe that's Adobe's attempt to convince you not to buy US version?
"Take THAT you Australian US software buyer!"
;o)

It has been covered before and software is one thing. The thing that I'm trying to nail down and can't get a definitive answer, is buying and using the US version of the single licence Adobe DPS as it seems that it isn't available in Aus, but can still make the transaction to buy the US version. Anyone had any luck with this?

Usually you can change the default settings by making the changes without having an active document open.

I signed up for the Creative Cloud sub today, seems like a decent price now. $62 a month for all programs + 20gb of Cloud storage.

US versions of Adobe software
Posted 12.07.2012 @ 10.29AM
I'm sure this has been asked a kagillion times, but I'm looking to upgrade my Windows Adobe software (PS, AI, IN) to at least CS5. I had a look on Ebay and there are quite a few (seemingly reputable) US sellers of the software.
Will this work or am I destined to fail?
