I wanted your advise on the following:
We have 2 macbook pros. I currently work remotely and my wife works from home.
We are looking at storing all our working and source files on a cloud...I was wondering who would provide the best storage solution?: Dropbox, Google Drive?
They're all pretty good - I use both. Dropbox is slightly easier to use in my opinion - but its negligible.
Google Drive has 15g for free and then its $1.99 per month for 100g.
Dropbox can be boosted to 16g for free - by using referrals.
(You can pay a chap to do the referrals for you and you get 16g for life. https://www.fiverr.com/dola10/increase-your-deopbox-16-gb-space?context=single_query&context_type=auto&context_referrer=search_gigs&ref_ctx_id=086848d1-44f2-4baf-a77f-f31708f08787&filtered_price=&pckg_id=1&pos=2&funnel=8bd215af-a3bf-4fcc-9428-df02b1e36a4f )
Hi Adam, Thanks for the reply. I am looking at getting the 1TB for the Whole Year.
Well you won't beat Google for price at $10 a month I don't think. If you install the sync agent - it really works quite seamlessly. It does for me anyway. Good luck!
Dropbox is cheaper for 1tb, and I find it simpler to use with regards to work files so prefer having my work files there, and then other "document" type stuff on Drive.
But that is just my own personal preference.
Google drive is very useful and fast, I recommend :)
I would prefer Dropbox for 1 TB because its cheaper than google drive. The Dropbox also has simple ui than Google Drive
$2/mth for 100gb is pretty cheap on Google Drive. Dropbox minimum price for paid plan is around $10/mth.
