I'm thinking of getting an a3 printer too, found this site http://www.a3colourprinters.com/
They rate A3 printers in different price ranges. Looks like good info
*Actually it's pretty heavily stacked towards Canon Pixma range...

Around 12 months ago I got a konica Minolta magicolor 4650 after looking around.
It was almost half price from around $1200 to $700. I was happy.
Its now out of ink and will cost $600 for new C, M, Y and K toners.
Not so happy.

Hi,
I'm looking to buy a colour printer for my home studio. I need to be able to print high quality A3 prints, suitable to presentation standard.
It would be nice if the printer can handle a variety of different stocks/weights, as I would like to experiment with doing some little limited run experiements/CD covers etc.
Likewise, the functionality of printing onto the CDs themself would be really neat, but not if the quality is atrocious.
Any recommendations appreciated! Cheers.
