RE: Threadless Submissions (and related projects) on 31st August 2010 @ 3.14 PM in Creative
We're a creative bunch here. I was wondering how many forum members have submitted designs to Threadless or similar sites in the past. Anyone had their work printed through any of these peer-scored submission systems?
There is an ulterior motive behind this post, of course. I posted my first submission to Threadless this week and am trying to promote the hell out of it in a vain attempt at garnering a few more 4 or 5 scores. Terribly rude of me, I know. Also, I'm a member of a few other design/illustration related communities with forums and have found a 'submissions' thread is a great way to make one another aware of our work and create yet another support network with the existing network.
Without further ado, my submission link is below. Again, I'd be grateful if you could see your way to slinging a score my way if so inclined. Cheers!

RE: Cheap domain names? on 28th June 2010 @ 2.18 PM in Technical
http://www.aussiewebhost.com.au is pretty good. $35 for 2 years on a .com.au domain.
We use MediaTemple for hosting and they've been amazing.

Illustrations to be used on a client's site.
RE: Other hobbies which inspire you on 17th June 2010 @ 12.28 PM in Discussion
I'm a video gamer, particularly older (lengthy) RPGs and a bit of a collector of Final Fantasy related items (statuettes, figurines, lunchboxes etc.).
Since I work from a home studio, I've found that leaving the office and heading into the kitchen for a baking marathon is quite relaxing. Lately it's been ginger snap cookies and shortbread.
My primary hobby used to be illustration and it still is, but it's more of a work-related skill these days!

RE: Recommendations for a low-cost printer for business cards? on 31st August 2010 @ 3.21 PM in Discussion
Definitely recommend MOO (http://www.moo.co.uk) as the appropriately named 'hairycow' suggested. Their mini-cards make an excellent point of difference in comparison to regular business cards. Easy upload, amazingly fast turnaround considering they're UK based.
