I use photoshop at the iPad size and resolution (132ppi) and then transfer over the jpgs. Soapbox takes the stuff directly from your pictures folder on the iPad.

Somehow the boys from Process Journal got their hands on it (or something like it) to make the iPad edition of Process Journal 1.
They wrote a piece on it in edition 5.
As far as the pixels go, I use Daniel Dittmar's Soapbox app on my iPad. I got really fed up with having to reprint things, or carry around the folio etc. This way it's with me all the time. The transitions are smooth, you can create captions if you like and it looks like it gets constantly updated. That's pretty cool.

I think Shillington college has a pretty good reputation as far as the short course variety go... They even have something called a 'masterclass' for people that have already been int he industry and want to improve their folio...
